An exciting opportunity has become available within the Crisis & Unscheduled Care team based at Royal Alexandra Hospital. We are looking to recruit a number of skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Practitioners to join our team to support delivery of an ‘Alternative to Admission’ community hub pilot for children and young people experiencing mental health crisis. We are looking for team members who are compassionate and able to engage with young people and their families/carers at times of crisis, within a community-based provision, working along-side the CAMHS Crisis and Unscheduled Care Service. This is an exciting learning opportunity for you to be an integral part of trail-blazing pilot for children and young people in central North Wales. Main duties of the job If successful you will contribute to the ongoing development and innovation within our service and be supported with personal and professional development through regular supervision and training. You will be required to carry out duties on a rota basis, including evenings and weekend working. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Person specification Experience Essential criteria Experience of working directly supporting children in Health, Education or Social Care setting Desirable criteria Experience working with children or young people with significant developmental difficulties or mental health problems Experience of working with adolescents Qualifications And/or Knowledge Essential criteria Knowledge of a range of procedures and practices, majority non-routine, theoretical knowledge to diploma level or equivalent experience.
