An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Dumfries & Galloway for Specialist Radiographers to join our team and support the provision of our 24/7 imaging service.
We have 2 vacancies of 37 hours per week: one post is Permanent, and one is Fixed-term from 26/05/25 until 26/02/26. Please indicate your preference on your application.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with well-established people skills who can lead safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Our department is forward-looking, invests in staff training, and is keen to develop our service. We expect you to participate in staff development and training.
You may be required to provide cover at the Stranraer site but will primarily be based at Dumfries.
Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in MRI/CT and a sound working knowledge of clinical guidelines and safety standards within these areas.
NHS Dumfries & Galloway performs over 100,000 exams annually at sites in Dumfries and Stranraer. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate in our extended working hours and 7-day service provision; there may be an on-call component.
The Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI), opened in 2017, has state-of-the-art digital equipment. CT and DR equipment at Stranraer have been recently upgraded to mirror the latest technology at Dumfries.
We are part of the Scottish National PACS service, which has recently been upgraded to a PACS reporting setup.
