Duties & Responsibilities :
* Assisting the Yard Foreman with the running of the yard and managing staff
* Ensuring high standards of customer service are met in the yard
* Monitoring stock levels
* Placement and zoning of stock
* Health and safety and security
Most of the day to day job will be:
* Serving customers in the yard, both manually and with a counterbalance forklift
* Loading and unloading lorries
* Receiving and storing products from suppliers and dealing with associated paperwork
Requirements:
* Counterbalance forklift licence
* Knowledge of building materials would be an advantage
* Friendly and professional manner
* Ability to delegate tasks to staff and lead by example
* High standards of customer service
