Job Description
Conwy County Borough Council is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join their Older People & Hospital Social Work Services team.
The Social Worker will collaborate with service users, carers, and families to provide support, develop resilience, and promote independence. They will ensure that service users, families, and carers are central to decision-making processes regarding their lives and desired outcomes.
Key Requirements
* Registered with Social Care Wales. If not already registered, the candidate must register to work with Conwy County Borough Council.
* Proficiency in technology and software skills.
Responsibilities
* Work with service users, carers, and families to provide support and foster resilience and independence.
* Respond to safeguarding concerns following Wales interim policy and procedures for POVA.
* Ensure that service users, families, and carers are at the heart of decision-making regarding their lives and outcomes.
* Provide support to the Older People & Hospital Social Work Services team.
Location & Duration
The Social Worker will be based at Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay, Conwy. The position is full-time (37 hours per week), Monday to Friday. Candidates should reside locally or within commuting distance, as the role is based in Conwy County. The initial assignment is approximately 12 weeks, with a potential for extension.
