Your Role and Responsibilities As a Teacher of Science, you will: * Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE), with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level) in your specialism. * Inspire students to develop a strong understanding and passion for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. * Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, fostering an inquiry-based approach. * Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and contributing to student reports. * Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental resources. * Participate in and lead extracurricular science activities, enriching the learning experience for students. * Act as a form tutor (for full-time roles) and contribute positively to the wider life of the school community. What We're Looking For * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics). * Proven experience teaching Science successfully across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential, with experience at Key Stage 5 being highly desirable. * A genuine passion for science and a commitment to inspiring the next generation of scientists. * Excellent subject knowledge across the science curriculum and the ability to teach all three sciences at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. * A dynamic, adaptable, and innovative teaching style. * Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and productive learning environment. * A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
