Overview
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) is launching a Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Roles are full-time, part-time, or flexible. The Imaging Department is expanding the Community X-ray team, operating seven X-ray rooms across five locations in North Staffordshire, and working with Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners across the new CDC and four existing community sites: Haywood Hospital, Leek Moorlands Hospital, Longton Cottage Hospital, Cobridge Health Centre, and Hanley CDC. You will be part of a rotational team delivering high-quality care across all sites.

Responsibilities
* Act as clinical lead when on duty; organise and prioritise competing clinical demands.
* Ensure a safe, clean, professional environment that the team can be proud of.
* Provide knowledge, confidence, and composure under pressure while remaining approachable, supportive and caring.
* Be open to roles at different band levels (e.g., Band 5 or Band 6) within an exciting imaging department.
* Support department visits for interested candidates to meet the team (arrangements via management).
Requirements
* BSc Hons Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent; HCPC registration.
* Minimum of 12 months NHS experience with recent work experience in a general X-ray team using digital radiography.
* Knowledge of plain film radiography; experience with RIS and PACS; awareness of current Health & Safety Regulations; understanding of Quality Assurance.
* Ability to work across a 7-day rotation from 7am to 10pm and on bank holidays.
* Willingness and ability to train others.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Wellbeing CRIS and Sectra PACS systems; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365; knowledge of equipment; experience in an NHS Imaging Department.
* Postgraduate qualifications (PgCert/PgDip/MSc) in a modality or specialty; RPS course completion.
Personal Qualities
* Good interpersonal skills; reliable, flexible, trustworthy, assertive, innovative.
* High standard of diagnostic imaging; willingness to train others.
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle (essential for a community-based role).
* Ability to participate in 24/7 rosters and maintain a flexible approach.
