Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that align with the Year 1 curriculum, fostering both academic success and emotional development. * Regularly assess pupils’ progress, using data to inform planning and provide meaningful feedback to both students and parents. * Create an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and respectful behaviour. * Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the year group and school leadership to maintain a cohesive approach to teaching and learning. * Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing clear communication and engaging in the shared responsibility of supporting children’s development. * Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enhance the community spirit and enrich the pupil experience. Person Specification: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification. * A deep understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly the needs and developmental stages of Year 1 children. * Proven ability to differentiate learning activities and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and collaborative approach to teamwork. * Passionate about creating an inclusive, engaging, and respectful learning environment. * A commitment to personal and professional development, with a reflective approach to practice and growth. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and balance teaching responsibilities.
