We’re looking for a patient, supportive, and switched-on Speech & Language Support TA to work across inclusive primary schools in Lambeth. You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) access learning, build their confidence, and develop essential skills.
You don’t need to be a speech therapist—but you do need empathy, consistency, and a love for helping children find their voice.
What your role might involve:
* 1:1 or small group sessions focusing on communication development
* Supporting pupils with speech delays, processing needs, or social language skills
* Liaising with SENCOs, speech therapists, and teachers to deliver personalised support
* Encouraging verbal interaction, vocabulary use, and communication strategies
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience supporting pupils with SLCN or related needs
* Brings calm, positive energy to their support role
* Is confident using visuals, routines, and communication tools
* Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or is happy to apply
