I'm currently working with a well-established, industry-leading
transport and highways consultancy
seeking a
Transport Planning Consultant
to join their Birmingham office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a
wide range of UK-based projects
, including
S278/38 highways schemes, drainage, and environmental planning
.
The Role
As a Transport Planning Consultant, you'll be responsible for preparing
Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
, coordinating surveys, and undertaking
junction capacity assessments
using
ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG
. You'll liaise directly with
clients, contractors, and authorities
, supporting projects from feasibility through to implementation. There will also be opportunities to assist with report writing, presentations, and project management.
About You
* Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related field
* Experience with UK Transport Planning standards and processes
* Competent in Microsoft Office and confident with numerical analysis
* Practical experience with ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG; AutoCAD experience is desirable
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated and able to manage your workload independently
