A well-established UK manufacturer with an international presence is recruiting for a Financial Controller to lead its finance function and play a key role in shaping the next stage of its growth. This is a senior, visible position in a business that values quality, innovation and integrity. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director, managing a team of five and driving improvements across reporting, systems and processes. They're looking for someone who takes ownership, brings ideas, and isn’t afraid to make change happen - someone who respects what works but always looks for a better way forward. The Role You’ll take full responsibility for financial control, reporting and leadership, including: Leading, developing and supporting a finance team of 5 Preparing monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheet reporting for the Board Consolidating group accounts and reconciling intercompany balances Overseeing journals, accruals, prepayments and depreciation Maintaining tight control over the balance sheet with robust monthly reconciliations Managing VAT returns, FPS submissions and liaising with HMRC and auditors Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management Streamlining reporting and improving data accuracy across systems Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide clarity, challenge and insight You’ll be encouraged to identify opportunities to improve - refining processes, strengthening controls, and enhancing the way financial information supports decision-making. About You You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven experience leading a finance team, ideally within a manufacturing or stock-focussed environment. You’ll have a strong technical base, but equally, the confidence to step back, question, and make things better. You’ll bring: Experience managing and developing a team Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Experience in a fast-growing company would be advantageous - be that private equity, or privately owned.
