Job Title: Painting and Insulation Supervisor
Summary: NRL are looking for an experienced Painting and Insulation Supervisor to join a long-term infrastructure project based on site in Somerset. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven expertise in industrial coatings and thermal insulation techniques to oversee quality and safety compliance over several years.
Salary: £100,000 per annum DOE
Location and Working Pattern: Somerset – site-based, full time, day shift until project compeltetion (approximately 5 years). ASAP start (subject to obtaining BPSS clearance).
Responsibilities:
Supervise all painting and insulation activities across allocated project areas
Ensure all works comply with quality specifications, safety standards, and project procedures
Manage subcontractor teams and monitor progress against scheduled milestones
Conduct inspections to verify application standards and correct material usage
Coordinate with other discipline supervisors to maintain smooth workflow and resolve interface issues
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for audits and project tracking
Promote safe working practices and enforce compliance with health and safety requirementsMust-have Requirements:
Significant experience in painting and insulation supervision within industrial or construction settings
Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating systems, and insulation materials
Thorough understanding of quality control processes and health and safety legislation
Ability to manage subcontractors and ensure productivity targets are met
Good communication skills for interfacing with project stakeholdersNice-to-have Skills:
Previous experience within nuclear or large infrastructure projects
Familiarity with NORSOK, ISO, and other relevant coating and insulation specifications
