Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: FALLS COMMUNITY COUNCIL As an Event Catering Assistant you will serve food and drinks to event attendees, as well as various other tasks related to food preparation and hospitality.
Responsibilities
* Clean and sanitising of all tableware before catering events.
* Loading and unloading food, tableware and catering supplies on and of catering vehicles.
* Food and drinks service.
* Assist with the preparation of dining areas.
* Disposal of food waste in line with working protocols.
* At the end of events: removing dishes and loading dish washers.
* Emptying dish washers and storing dishes and cutlery in designated cupboards and drawers.
* Cleaning of kitchen appliances.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Open to training progression both in house on off site.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Demonstrate a willingness to take instruction.
* Communicate clearly.
* Engage in work place mentoring.
* Maintain a clean working environment.
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience as a catering assistant or similar position.
* Hospitality skills.
