Senior Buyer – Procurement Team
Are you a skilled procurement professional looking to take your career to the next level? NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a motivated Senior Buyer to join our dynamic Procurement Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring value for money, efficient contract management, and the delivery of high‑quality healthcare services across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage procurement activities within the Commodity Teams, implementing national contracts tendered on behalf of Health Boards by National Procurement.
* Undertake local contracting and tendering activities to meet the diverse needs of the Health Board.
* Ensure compliance with legal requirements and procurement regulations while contributing to cost savings and supporting the Sustainability & Value Programme.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the health system, negotiating and managing contracts to deliver quality and value.

Qualifications
* Substantial experience in procurement, with proven expertise in managing complex tendering processes and supplier negotiations.

* Relevant professional qualifications or a commitment to achieving them.
