Madison Reign is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive secondary school in Watford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams to provide tailored support that helps students thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
âś” Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND and SEMH needs
âś” Support students inside and outside of the classroom
âś” Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
âś” Encourage student engagement, confidence and independence
âś” Work closely with teachers to adapt learning activities where needed
âś” Support students with emotional regulation and wellbeing
âś” Assist with safeguarding and pastoral support responsibilities
âś” Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
Requirements:
âś” Previous experience working with children or young people
âś” Experience supporting SEND or SEMH needs desirable
âś” Calm, patient and resilient approach
âś” Strong communication and behaviour management skills
âś” Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
âś” Ability to build positive and professional relationships
âś” Enhanced DBS on the Update Service desirable
