Senior Science Technician
We are seeking to appoint a full-time Senior Technician to work in our vibrant and friendly Science department. The post holder will manage a small technician team in the preparation of resources for practical learning in the classroom and assist with teaching and learning in lessons where appropriate.
Details
* Salary: WA5-14 to WA5-20 £26,380 to £30,369 pro rata per annum. Actual £21,273 - £24,489 per annum
* Hours: 33.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:15am to 3:45pm (hours flexible for the right candidate)
* Term-time: 39 weeks per annum
* Start: Required as soon as possible
Responsibilities
* Manage a small technician team in the preparation of resources for practical learning in the classroom
* Assist with teaching and learning in lessons where appropriate
Qualifications and Attributes
* Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential
* Ability to work both in a team and independently
* Previous experience of working in a scientific setting is desirable
* You will work closely with our technician team and Faculty Leader for Science; all relevant training will be provided
