Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Salary: £36,000
Shift Pattern: Days or Double Days
A growing UK-based manufacturing business within the FMCG sector is seeking two Maintenance Engineers to support continued expansion at a new site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established operation with strong investment in people, training, and long-term progression.
The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining and fault-finding on a range of high-speed packaging machinery within a modern manufacturing environment. The role has a 60/40 electrical bias but will suit engineers comfortable working in a multi-skilled capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical and mechanical fault-finding on packaging machinery
Working with flow wrappers and automated packaging lines
Fault-finding on sensors, relays, inverters, and drives
PLC fault-finding (no programming required)
Planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
Supporting continuous improvement and site growth
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Electrical or mechanical qualification to Level 3 minimum
Electrical bias preferred
Experience in FMCG or packaging environments is ideal
Exposure to flow wrappers or automated packaging equipment advantageous
Junior engineers with the right attitude and core skills will be considered
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Salary: £36,000
Hours Negotiable between two shifts :
Days: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Double Days: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Holidays: 23 days + bank holidays
