Data Platform Engineer

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience + 10% bonus + excellent benefits

As part of our enterprise data platform team, you’ll help build and operate the cloud infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting and data science across Bupa.
How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen
* Support the design, build and maintenance of core Azure and Snowflake data platform components.
* Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, enabling repeatable and automated deployments.
* Build and run CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
* Contribute to platform monitoring, including logging, metrics and alerting through observability tooling.
* Troubleshoot platform issues and raise escalation where appropriate.
* Collaborate with engineers, architects and data teams to provision secure and performant environments.
* Contribute to documentation, runbooks and operational procedures.
* Support continuous improvement by identifying enhancements to automation, performance and reliability.
Key Skills & Experience
* ~3+ years’ experience in platform, cloud or data platform engineering.
* Hands‑on experience with key Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Data Lake, Power BI/Fabric).
* Experience working with Snowflake or other relational cloud data platforms.
* Foundational to intermediate skills in Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform.
* Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
* Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or Application Insights.
* Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash or Python) for automation tasks.
