About the Role
Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager for a successful and growing food industry business based in Chesterfield.
This hybrid role offers excellent flexibility, with the requirement to be in the Chesterfield office every Monday to collaborate with the wider team. The ideal candidate will come from a food manufacturing, foodservice, or FMCG background and be confident managing the full sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and secure new business opportunities within the food sector.

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Understand customer needs and present tailored product solutions.
*
Manage the full sales process from prospecting to closing.
*
Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and market insights.
*
Attend client meetings, industry events, and trade shows as required.
*
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction.
About You

Experience within the food industry is essential.
*
Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management.
*
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
*
Commercially minded with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
*
Self‑motivated, confident, and able to work independently.
*
Full UK driving licence (company car included in salary package).
