Your new company An exciting new opportunity has arisen within this Bristol based firm to apply for the role of Credit Controller. In your new role, you will ensure that all debts are paid in a timely manner in order to meet the debtor days target set out by the company. You will chase overdue debt by telephone, letter & email within the agreed timescales. Your new role Key Responsibilities: Ensure customers make payment within the agreed payment terms Reviewing orders on hold, customer a/c queries and complaints in a courteous manner Checking, approving, or rejecting new account applications as per company procedures Ensuring monthly statements, first letters and final demands are printed, checked, and sent out within the agreed timescale Setting accounts up for direct debit and running the direct debits monthly on the dates set by management Dealing with customers professionally by phone, letter, and email. Taking card payments over the phone daily Passing accounts for Legal Action Maintain accurate records for all chasing activity Assisting with the month end reports Experience: To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have demonstrable experience in a similar Credit Control role in a fast-paced office environment, supporting high-volume collections and monitoring bad debt. You will have experience in dealing with difficult conversations with customers, such as clients who have gone into administration. You'll be skilled at finding solutions that are acceptable to both the Company and the customer, where possible.
