TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic Primary School based in Bristol, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant 1:1. This child-centred school has been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED rating and is known for its welcoming environment, inclusive ethos and excellent Senior Leadership Team support.
The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant 1:1 on a full-time basis for a 1-year contract starting in September. The successful Teaching Assistant 1:1 will be working closely with a child with additional needs, supporting both academic and emotional development throughout the school day. The role would particularly suit a Psychology Graduate or Sports Graduate looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into teaching or educational psychology.
The successful Teaching Assistant 1:1 will have:
Experience working with children or young people
A caring and patient approach to supporting additional needs
Strong communication and relationship building skills
A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
An interest in pursuing a career within education
