Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, supervising food and drink preparation, and ensuring the smooth running of all bar activities.
Responsibilities
 * Lead and supervise the bar team, ensuring excellent service delivery and team cohesion.
 * Oversee food preparation and cooking processes related to bar snacks and light meals, maintaining high culinary standards.
 * Manage daily operations including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards in compliance with food safety regulations.
 * Ensure all beverages are prepared to standard, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic options.
 * Monitor customer satisfaction levels, handle complaints professionally, and foster a welcoming environment.
 * Implement health and safety procedures across the premises to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
 * Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and performance reviews to optimise team efficiency.
 * Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of stock.
 * Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory for reporting purposes.
Experience
 * Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in a restaurant or hotel setting.
 * Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
 * Experience in restaurant or bar management with strong team management skills.
 * Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations is highly desirable.
 * Previous experience working as a barista or in hospitality roles such as serving or culinary positions is advantageous.
 * Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities effectively.
