Pay: £38,000 - £48,000 (depending on experience)

Due to a restructure within the business, our client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant who can join the team and get the ground running from day 1.
Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and key performance reports
- Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and underlying drivers
- Provide clear financial commentary and insights for senior management
- Produce regular and ad‑hoc financial reports to support business decision‑making
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Support and coordinate the annual budgeting process
- Prepare rolling forecasts and medium‑term financial plans
- Work closely with department heads to build realistic, robust budgets
- Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to assess business initiatives and strategic options
Cost Control & Profitability
- Monitor cost performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Analyse margins, overhead recovery, and cost drivers
- Produce product, project, customer, or departmental profitability analysis
- Support pricing and commercial decisions through margin and contribution analysis
Financial Controls & Compliance
- Ensure accurate accounting entries, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain strong financial controls and documented processes
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards
KPIs & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and maintain KPIs aligned to business objectives
- Track financial and operational performance trends
- Produce dashboards and reports to support performance management
Stakeholder Support & Communication
- Present financial results clearly to managers and senior stakeholders
- Respond to ad‑hoc financial queries and analysis requests
- Support the Finance Manager / Financial Controller with financial insight and reporting
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience in a management accounting
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex data
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with non‑finance stakeholders
- Experience with Sage 200 is essential
Desirable
- Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering
- Experience with dealing with international companies
