Roles and Responsibilities
* Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions
* Deliver dynamic, high-quality Physics lessons across KS3–KS4 (KS5 is desirable)
* Use practical investigations, real-world applications and modelling to bring core concepts to life
* Promote scientific thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, curiosity, and progress
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback to help every learner succeed
* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills following the school’s behaviour policy
* Support the school’s values through positive relationships, respect and a commitment to student wellbeing
* Engage in continuous professional learning, embracing feedback and contribute to departmental excellence
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2025 document)
* Proven experience teaching Physics at secondary level following the National Curriculum
* Right to Work in the UK (No Limitations)
* Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (Child Workforce listed)
* Teaching reference checks covering the last 2 years
