Duties
* Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles using schematics and diagnostic tools
* Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble and assemble vehicle components
* Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify issues accurately
* Carry out welding and equipment repair tasks as required
* Perform heavy lifting when handling engine parts or other heavy components safely
* Maintain detailed records of all work performed for customer files and warranty purposes
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
* Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Experience
* Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role within an automotive workshop or dealership environment
* Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
* Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals
* Hands-on experience with assembly, disassembly, and repair of various vehicle parts
* Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments
* Knowledge of maintenance procedures for different vehicle makes and models
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
