Managing Director
We’re partnered with an international manufacturer that continues to go from strength to strength — profitable, growing, and backed by significant investment following a series of recent acquisitions. With a strong reputation for design, quality, and technical innovation, the business is now looking to appoint a Managing Director to lead its UK operation through the next stage of expansion.
This is a key strategic hire for a well-established, high-performing subsidiary with ambitious growth plans. The UK business is already growing, operates profitably, and is forecast to reach impressive numbers by 2030, supported by strong leadership, investment, and product innovation across Europe.
We are open to speaking with proven Managing Directors as well as Sales Directors, Commercial Directors, or National Leaders who are ready to take the next step in their career and lead a successful, growing business.
The Opportunity
As Managing Director, you will have full P&L and strategic leadership responsibility for the UK business, reporting directly to the Head of International Business. This is a hands-on, commercially driven leadership role with genuine autonomy to shape the UK’s growth strategy and future direction.
The routes to market include:
Independent bathroom retail showrooms
Buying groups and key merchant partners
Builders, merchants and specialist contract distributors
Contract / project and A&D channels — identified as a key area for future growth
You will lead a talented team across sales, operations, marketing, and finance, developing a strong performance culture and ensuring the business continues to deliver profitable and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the UK business, developing and executing a strategy that drives growth, profitability, and brand awareness.
* Strengthen existing routes to market and develop new ones — particularly within contract, specification, and A&D channels.
* Manage and inspire a high-performing team across sales, operations, finance, and marketing.
* Drive customer engagement through innovation, technical expertise, and exceptional service.
* Represent the UK business within the wider European group, contributing to strategic planning and collaboration.
The Person
* Senior leader within the bathroom, building materials, or wider interiors industry.
* Proven experience leading or managing a national sales operation or P&L.
* Commercially astute, strategic, and hands‑on in approach.
* Strong communicator and influencer, comfortable working cross‑functionally.
* Ambitious, driven, and motivated to make a tangible impact on a growing international brand.
* Ideally, you will be living in the South West of the country; relocation may be required, perfect for someone located in or around Gloucester, Bristol, Swindon, Bath, Salisbury, Yeovil, Exeter region.
