Overview
Senior Architectural Technologist
Shape the Technical Foundations of Tomorrow’s Built Environment. With a growing portfolio of flagship projects across industrial and logistics, aviation, data centres, commercial developments and complex multi-disciplinary schemes, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our expanding Architecture team in Birmingham, Newark or London.
This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging, high-profile projects while contributing to the development of robust, coordinated and compliant design solutions. If you have a passion for detail, enjoy solving technical challenges, and thrive in collaborative design environments, this position offers both immediate responsibility and long-term opportunities to progress within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.
Purpose & Scope of the Role
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will support the technical delivery of projects across all design stages, ensuring that construction information, specifications and technical outputs meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance and buildability. You will provide day-to-day coordination for design teams, review outputs from project collaborators, and help shape design strategies that reflect client requirements, project constraints and best practice.
Your work will span the design and delivery of industrial and logistics facilities, commercial and operational buildings, aviation-related developments and emerging sectors such as data centres. You will be involved in model development, specification writing, coordination with engineering disciplines, and ensuring that all project information aligns with statutory regulations and industry standards. You will also support bid and tender activity, provide input to fee proposals, and help develop project delivery approaches in line with technical, commercial and quality expectations.
Your Impact in this Position
You will play a central role in ensuring that complex projects are delivered with technical accuracy, coordination and clarity. In the early stages, your focus will be on producing and reviewing detailed design information, supporting project leaders and maintaining strong communication between disciplines. Over time, you will take on greater responsibility for technical decision-making, support the mentoring of junior colleagues, and contribute to the continued development of technical excellence within the Architecture team.
Your success will be measured through the quality of your design outputs, your contribution to effective project coordination, your ability to navigate technical challenges, and your commitment to client-focused delivery.
