Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Approved Social Worker within the Duty & Assessment Team to work full time based in Guernsey. The salary for this permanent Approved Social Worker job is up to £75,789per annum. Main duties: To promote and deliver a high standard of care based on best practice to maintain patient/service users safety and provide an excellent service. To coordinate the assessment of patients/service users with complex needs including individuals with unconfirmed diagnosis. To coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of specialised programmes of care utilising evidence and research. The ability to help lead a team of staff/provide specialist advice in acute and chronic situations ensuring that the patients/service users are met along with their support network. To be accountable for ensuring that safeguards are in place for patients/service users and escalate any safety, safeguarding or risk concerns following the appropriate processes. To build and advocate a therapeutic relationship with patients/service and their support network, communicating with them in a way that respects their views, language, cultural differences and cognitive function. To use and promote a wide range of communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of complex and challenging situations. To manage conflict between individuals including staff, patients/service users, and their support network. To establish and promote effective working relations with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies, clearly relaying condition related information in a timely and effective manner. Communicates to patients/service users and support networks compassionately, in a confidential and sensitive professional manner. To provide clear, concise, and accurate electronic and paper records of the care given in accordance with agreed policy and standards. To assist and help lead the department or service within the scope of social work practice. To assist on the investigation of complaints and clinical incidents related to own clinical area, ensuring that learning is shared with own team and wider HSC. To organise own workload and that of others, demonstrating the ability to recognise changing priorities and adjusting plans accordingly. To take responsibility for maintaining own, and that of others within the service, professional development and revalidation requirements, ensuring completion of training in accordance with the Statutory, Mandatory and Essential to Role Training Policy. Requirements of this Approved Social Worker Job. Degree or Equivalent in Social Work. Current Social Work England Registration. Post Qualifying Social Work Experience.
