We are looking for a Trustee with relevant heritage experience. We welcome applications from people who may have experience in the Arts, communications, funding, however Heritage sector knowledge & experience will fill a gap in our Board which we are looking to fill.

Strategic Planning They shape the long-term direction, set goals, and define the policies that guide the organisation's growth and impact.
Critical Friend They support the Chief Executives (CEOs) and staff while challenging them to perform effectively.
The trustee role is key to the performance and continued existence of The Spring.
What are we looking for?
We seek to appoint an experienced individual to join our Board who has experience of Museums, Heritage centres and/or programmes. We are looking for an individual with at least three years' experience in one or more of the following areas
Museums/Heritage sector
Strategic development and planning
Project/programme management
Advice/Advocacy
We are looking for someone who has a strong strategic approach to heritage, who is keen to support The Spring to develop it's heritage programme and grow new and intergenerational audiences for this area of work, and offer advice and guidance to the Executive team.
We hope to receive applications from all walks of life and across The Spring's area of operation and surrounding areas.

What will you be doing?
We would welcome your input at Board meetings, and would like you to participate actively in discussions and decision-making, supporting board colleagues by exercising independent judgement.
We would welcome your contribution to the development and oversight of The Spring's strategy, these discussions take place at the Board Meetings.
We would like you to take an interest in effective governance oversight, including financial stewardship, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Trustees are invited to act as an ambassador and advocate for The Spring, helping to raise its profile and influence.
In all their contact with The Spring staff, customers and other trustees champion high standards of integrity, transparency and accountability across the organisation.
