Flexible working hours available, Monday to Friday, for 39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days).
Options include:
8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (30 hours per week: £17,212 pro-rata per annum)
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (15 hours per week: £8,606 pro-rata per annum)
Alternative part-time hours may be considered, subject to the needs of the school.

Linwood School is an 'Outstanding' (Ofsted January 2018) multi-campus, day special school for children and young people aged 4 – 19. We support a wide range of special educational needs including moderate (MLD), severe (SLD), profound (PMLD), and complex learning difficulties (CLDD), as well as those on the Autism spectrum.
We employ approximately 180 Teaching Assistants and are seeking highly motivated, committed individuals to join our expanding team on a permanent basis. The role can be challenging and physically demanding due to the needs of our students, but also highly rewarding. Resilience and effective communication skills are essential. Experience working with children with learning difficulties and/or social communication difficulties is desirable but not essential.
Some of our Teaching Assistants work with students with PMLD requiring high levels of care, including:
* Intimate and personal care
* Assistance with eating and drinking
* Administering medication
Full training will be provided if needed; however, please highlight relevant skills and aptitudes in your application.
Appointments are made across most campuses based on skills, experience, and campus needs. Successful candidates may be based at any of our campuses.
The role includes a 6-month mandatory probation period, during which paid Monday after-school training sessions will be provided to enhance skills. Training topics and dates will be shared upon commencement.
Career progression opportunities include becoming a Specialist Provision Teaching Assistant and Higher Level Teaching Assistant, with some progressing to Teacher roles.
