Locally Employed Doctor ST1/2 in Cardiothoracic Surgery

This post is for a Cardiothoracic LED working at ST1/2 level.
The successful candidate will join a multi‑professional team with 11 Cardiothoracic Consultants based at the Lancashire Cardiac Centre, Blackpool Victoria Hospital, and be employed by the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Blackpool Victoria Hospital is one of four Regional Centres for Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology. The Lancashire Cardiac Centre is a £50m state‑of‑the‑art facility that includes four (with a possibility of commissioning a fifth) catheter laboratories, four operating theatres and 20 critical care beds, together with associated ward beds and a dedicated educational and research facility.

Qualifications
* GMC Registration with licence to practice
Experience
* Experience in General Medicine or Surgery
* Empathy, understanding, listening skills, patience, and social skills appropriate to different types of client
* Cardiothoracic Surgery or General Surgery experience
Audit
* Understanding of principles of clinical audit
Skills
* Excellent written and spoken communication, ability to build rapport, and teamwork
* IT skills and computer literacy
* Ability to work well with colleagues
