Overview
We are currently seeking to recruit a dedicated Charge Nurse within Ward 32. Ward 32 is a busy, 23 bedded Acute Medical Ward specialising in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Acute General Medicine.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate nursing care in Ward 32; manage complaints handling, safe staffing legislation and workforce planning; participate in quality improvement projects; demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to work under pressure in a busy, acute clinical setting.
* Ensure effective communication and liaison with other professionals; support a multidisciplinary team.
* Work a combination of 11.5 hour day shifts and night shifts.
Requirements
* Experience in a Charge Nurse role within an acute general medicine capacity.
* Experience in complaints handling, safe staffing legislation and workforce planning.
* Demonstrated involvement in new and continuous quality improvement projects.
* Strong leadership and ability to work under pressure in a busy, acute clinical setting.
* Exceptional communication skills; able to liaise with other professionals.
* PVG Scheme clearance prior to appointment.
* Right to work in the UK (UKVI) and pre-employment checks, with evidence of entitlement to work; sponsorship possible under UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker visa if eligible and if employer is a licensed sponsor and salary threshold met.
