Science Technician – Secondary School Location: Shirley, Croydon Hours: 8:00am – 2:00pm (no break) OR Finish at 2:30pm with a break Days: Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary – Immediate start until end of June We are seeking a Science Technician to support the Science Department at a secondary school in Shirley, Croydon. This is a full-time, temporary role starting immediately and running until the end of June. Key Responsibilities Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for science lessons (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) Supporting teaching staff during practical lessons when required Ensuring laboratories are clean, tidy and safe Managing and maintaining stock of equipment and chemicals Following health & safety procedures and COSHH regulations Safely disposing of waste materials Requirements Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a laboratory environment (preferred) Good organisational skills and attention to detail Knowledge of health & safety procedures in a school or lab setting Ability to work independently and as part of a team Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one What’s on Offer Consistent weekday hours Supportive school environment Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) Immediate start Apply today to secure an immediate start.
