The Role
We are looking for motivated and compassionate Employment Advisors to join a team in Preston. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with individuals facing multiple barriers to employment, supporting them on their journey towards sustainable and fulfilling work.
Duties
* Take ownership of a dynamic caseload, providing one-to-one, in-person support to individuals at our centre.
* Conduct in-depth initial assessments to understand each customer's work history, current challenges, learning needs, and aspirations.
* Design tailored action plans linking customers to relevant training, mentoring, and support services to remove employment barriers.
* Set clear, achievable SMART goals and regularly review progress to ensure forward momentum towards employment.
* Provide continuous motivation, practical guidance, and encouragement to help individuals build confidence and skills.
Required Skills
* Experience working with unemployed individuals, especially those facing complex challenges or long-term unemployment.
* Experience managing fluctuating caseloads in a results-driven environment focused on job outcomes.
* Skilled in conducting holistic needs assessments and identifying meaningful next steps towards employment or development.
* Ability to set and review SMART objectives, maintaining high standards of support and accountability.
* Empathetic, resilient, and genuinely driven to help people transform their lives through work.
Due to the nature of this role, a DBS check will be required.
