Technical Services Manager | Food Manufacturing | Monday–Friday | £50k pa
A senior technical leadership role with direct accountability for site standards, compliance, and team performance within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
This position sits at the centre of the factory's risk control system — where food safety, quality, and commercial pressure intersect.
You will lead a team of technical professionals, ensuring the site operates within customer, legal, and audit frameworks while maintaining credibility with both internal stakeholders and external bodies.
The Role
You will own the technical agenda on site — not just maintaining systems, but ensuring they hold under operational pressure.
Day to day, this includes:
* Leading and developing the technical team, setting clear standards and expectations
* Managing food safety, quality systems, and site compliance
* Acting as the key contact for customer audits, third-party audits, and regulatory bodies
* Driving audit readiness as a constant state, not an event
* Overseeing supplier approval and raw material risk management
* Working closely with Operations to ensure standards are maintained at pace
* Supporting NPD and process changes from a technical and compliance perspective

Experience Required
* Proven background in Technical or Quality leadership within food manufacturing
* Strong understanding of retailer standards, audits, and compliance frameworks
* Experience leading teams and operating at site leadership level
* Credibility with customers and auditors
* Ability to operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
