The Vacancy
We are seeking to appoint a Qualified and Experienced Teacher of children who are Deaf on a temporary basis, to cover a maternity leave, from 01 January 2026. The successful candidate will join a small, highly committed team of professionals in Hearing Support, who form part of the wider Children's Disability service.
Your day-to-day work will involve:
• supporting the learning and development of children and young people with hearing impairment who attend early years, mainstream and special education settings in North Lincolnshire and developing practice that is inclusive of hearing impairment
• Carrying out specialist assessments and delivering programmes of support for children and young people with hearing impairment aged 0-18 and up to 25 with an EHCP.
• Supporting the understanding of hearing impairment through delivery of training to a range of professionals and families.
• Assisting the local authority in fulfilling its statutory duties towards CYP with hearing impairment.
• Working in partnership with and offering guidance to settings, professionals and families.
