Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is offering an opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join us on a 12-month secondment, primarily within the Living Well with Pain Service.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Provide a high-quality, comprehensive, and effective clinical health psychology service to designated physical health specialisms, mainly living well with Pain.
2. Ensure the systematic delivery of a highly specialist clinical health psychology service to clients and relevant healthcare professionals.
3. Supervise and support psychological assessments and therapies provided by assistant and trainee clinical psychologists; contribute to supervision of clinical psychologists within the specialism.
4. Work autonomously within professional guidelines; exercise responsibility for governance of clinical health psychology practice.
5. Utilize research skills for audit, policy, service development, and research initiatives.
6. Propose and implement policy changes within the team/service area.
7. Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership, fostering a culture of collective leadership within the trust, engaging, enabling, and empowering others, using coaching, and facilitating teamwork across organizational boundaries.

Essential Criteria:
* Postgraduate Doctorate (or equivalent) in clinical/counselling psychology, including models of psychopathology, psychometrics, neuropsychology, multiple psychological therapies, and lifespan development psychology, accredited by the BPS.
* Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist, with ongoing CPD compliance, and eligible for BPS chartered status.
* Advanced knowledge through further post-qualification training in therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT), supervision, training, research, and management skills.
