We are seeking to appoint an Assessment Officer to complete financial audit reviews which may involve home visits. You will maintain, process, update and extract routine information from systems and databases and provide general administrative/clerical/financial support. The role will also include the provision of general and financial advice or guidance in response to public, partner or service user enquiries and will involve the use of higher-level spread sheets and IT skills.
Knowledge of social care funding and commissioning would be an advantage.
Duties include:
1. Monitor the spending of social care funding
2. Report writing
3. Maintain timely, accurate and up to date records and information for management and other professionals showing commitment for the role.
4. Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers and colleagues.
5. Follow processes and procedures adhering to strict timescales, escalating tasks where necessary.
6. Work closely with colleagues, service managers and other professionals to deliver an effective and high-quality service ensuring targets are met.
Requirements:
7. 4 GCSE's including Maths and English grade A to C (or equivalent qualification).
8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
9. Ability to work as part of a team
10. Good time management skills
11. Ability to work under pressure
12. Experience using Microsoft Office.
