You’ll be joining a large, forward thinking public sector organisation based in Staffordshire. Your new role
1. Lead on configuration and administration of financial systems, ensuringpliance and optimisation.
2. Oversee system upgrades, testing, and liaison with external providers.
3. Support the preparation andpletion of Financial Statements, including audit coordination andpliance with Codes of Practice.
4. Ensure monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts (cash, debtors, creditors) and Police Pension accounts.
5. Review VAT returns and ensurepliance with legislation.
6. Manage bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow forecasting.
7. Provide leadership and support to the Finance Officer
What you'll need to succeed
8. Qualified Accountant
9. Proven experience in financial systems management and technical accounting.
10. Experience in preparing financial statements and coordinating external audits.
11. Advanced Excel skills and ability to interpretplex financial data.
