Behaviour Support Assistant Role at Prospero Teaching
Prospero Teaching is currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to deliver person-centred support to individuals with high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours related to learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, and mental health issues. You will work in a school supporting children and young people who require 1:1 assistance for various reasons.
Contract / Position Details:
* Position: Behavioural Support Assistant
* Full-time, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm daily
Requirements:
You must have:
* Some experience working with children and young people displaying challenging behaviour
* De-escalation training experience (advantageous)
* Background in youth work or similar roles considered
* Confidence in decision-making
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students
* Empathy and understanding
* Willingness to develop skills through professional training and development

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
* Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
