Client Local Authority in Chelmsford Job Title Housing Needs Officer Pay Rate £16.70 an hour PAYE Hours 36 Hours a week(Mon-Fri) Duration 9 Month contract up until 31/07/2026 Location HYBRID WORKING-Civic Centre,Dukes Streer,Chelmsford Description Position Requirements Experience: Required to process Housing register applications in accordance with Chelmsford's Allocation policy, verifying documents accurately, working with internal and external stakeholders, set up auto bids, carry out special assessments which includes health and housing, social ,welfare and financial assessments and liaise where necessary with special health practitioners, Occupational therapist, Police, Social Care and Supporting Agencies etc. Provide cover for the Allocation officers and duty line. Experience required various ICT systems such as Locata, Civica, Outlook, Word, Excel and websites and successfully manage a case load, meeting deadlines with the and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and difficult situations with excellent customer service.
