Based in Billericay with offices in London, Sedcom is a trusted managed IT service provider supporting businesses across Essex and the capital. As an apprentice, you will be immersed in the exciting world of IT, you will be tasked with installing, fixing and configuring workstations and laptops, maintaining the comms room order and organisation, liaising with 3rd parties for repairs and resolving and much more. You will be given all the tools and exposure to build a successful career in the industry. Throughout your journey, you will work closely with the Service Desk Manager and the wider IT team. As well as the in-house support, you will also work alongside a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships to provide you with industry expert knowledge throughout your time on the apprenticeship.
In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
Install, fix and configure workstations and laptops as required
Install and configure software on devices
Arrange courier and delivery timescales as needed
Ensure comms room procedural documentation and tasks are adhered to and kept up to date
Maintain comms room order and organisation
Assist other team members with ad-hoc requests as required
Liaising with 3rd parties for repairs and resolve
You will be using ticketing system Autotask
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
£16,000 per annum
Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm
1 hour lunch
25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory would be beneficial
Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure services
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
A passion for IT and Technology
Grade 5/C in GCSE English and Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
Youll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, youll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
Youll be based full-time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
