Info about what the Electronics Service Technician entails The Electronics Service Technician will be responsible for: * Fault-finding and repairing professional audio, video and wireless equipment down to component level. * Assembling, disassembling and testing electronic products. * Reworking PCBs containing both surface mount and through-hole components. * Preparing estimates and documenting work performed for our customers. * Repairing and maintaining test equipment. Requirements of the Electronics Service Technician * Educated to minimum HNC level in electronics or related field. * At least 2 years’ experience in a related role. * Able to read and interpret complex schematics and data sheets. * Competent at soldering and reworking fine pitch SMT and through-hole components. * Proficient in use of oscilloscopes, DMMs, bench power supplies and stereo microscopes etc. * Knowledge of professional audio equipment, audio circuitry, RF and switching power supplies is desirable.
