Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Family Help Navigator to join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
The Family Help Navigator plays a key frontline role within the Integrated Front Door, acting as the first point of contact for professionals, children and families seeking advice, guidance and support. The role ensures timely, robust information sharing and contributes to informed, multi-agency, decision-making that promotes children’s safety and wellbeing.
You will help families access the most appropriate support by applying thresholds, offering professional challenge where needed, and using a strengths-based systemic approach to understand each family’s circumstances. The role supports practitioners across services, enhances the quality of Family Help assessments and promotes early intervention by linking families to trusted and familiar support networks.
Working collaboratively across agencies, you will coordinate responses, reduce unnecessary escalation and champion Family Help as a shared responsibility across the system. The position also involves promoting positive workforce culture, applying relevant legislation and guidance and contributing to ongoing service improvement within Children’s Services.
