Domestic Team Leader

The Team Leader posts are based in 2 sites within our Community Domestic team at Manor Clinic & Central Health Clinic.
The vacancy will be full time, Monday to Friday. Hours will be flexible to provide cover for the Domestic team onsite. More information on hours available on request.
Main duties of the job
The post will require leading a team of Domestics and also providing support to the Community Supervisor across Community. It will require to undertake a range of domestic duties, for example maintaining a high standard of cleanliness using modern cleaning methods and machinery. There is a requirement to attend cleaning requirements of bodily fluids and barrier cleaning when required and training new staff members.
New starters to Domestic Services roles will undergo training on work methods and protocols etc. before starting on their actual areas and also be required to attend any relevant training for updates for existing or new methods or machinery etc.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE English & Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, or relevant experience that demonstrates competency to this level.
* Basic Health and Safety Training
* Customer Service Qualification
Experience
* Previous experience of working in a Healthcare setting.
* Previous experience of cleaning in a healthcare setting
* Knowledge of infection control and national cleaning standards
* Previous experience of working in a customer service setting
* Previous experience of leading a team in a healthcare setting
* Previous experience of working in a Community Services setting
* Knowledge and understanding of the importance of infection control and national cleaning standards.
* Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Dealing with patients, visitors and colleagues in a caring and sensitive manner
* Efficient time management and ability to prioritise tasks
* Able to demonstrate use of initiative
* Able to work well in leading a team
* Understanding the meaning and importance of confidentiality
* Flexibility to meet needs of the service.
* Willingness to complete job specific and essential training relevant to the role
* Evidence of supporting / mentoring new members of staff in the workplace
