Purpose of Position
To help maintain the food safety, quality and legality of the product being produced, ensuring adherence to established quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities (Accountabilities)
The following specific job responsibilities relate to this position:
· Responsible for monitoring critical control points (CCP), food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
· Ensure products are produced in accordance with company policy, customer specification and food legislation.
· Ensure the site testing schedules for microbiological and chemical analysis are sampled and adhered to following the agreed schedule.
· Record and action non-conformance and corrective actions.
· Investigate and highlight non-conformances to the Head of Quality
· Keeps measuring equipment operation, by following operating instructions, weekly calibration and calling for repairs.
· Completing scheduled audits including GMP, Fabrication, Hygiene, Glass and hard plastics and walk away standards.
· Complete paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
· Be an active team member on the site HACCP Team
· Facilitate the implementation of the FSQM through procedures, work instructions, and photographic standards in conjunction with Macduff Head Office.
· Investigation of customer complaints ensuring traceability is challenged and the customer replied to as per the agreed timescale.
· Investigation into non-conforming products with root cause analysis for a prevention of reoccurrence identified

Qualifications
* A proven background in the food industry is required but full training can be provided.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft office is required
* HACCP qualification – preferred Intermediate HACCP
