Job Description
The Fundraising Trustee will provide strategic insight to strengthen Ronald McDonald House Charities UK's fundraising capabilities across its broad portfolio of engagement activities. They will serve as an active member of the Board of Trustees, contributing to the following key responsibilities:

4. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the charity and its operating environment.
5. Acting in the best interests of the charity and upholding its reputation.
6. Fostering respectful, collegiate relationships with fellow trustees and members of the charity team.
7. Operating within the charity's governing documents and adhering to its policies.
The Successful Applicant
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
8. Proven experience in income generation, audience engagement, and supporter stewardship within a national charity, with the ability to develop diverse income streams across multiple channels.
9. Expertise in one or both of mass engagement and relational fundraising.
10. Experience in risk mitigation and governance.
11. Strong communication and influencing skills, with a collaborative approach.
12. Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and offer constructive challenge.

What's on Offer
18. Trustees are expected to attend and actively contribute to four in-person Board meetings each year, in addition to dedicating time for meeting preparation and occasional engagement outside of formal meetings.
19. This is a voluntary position, and all Trustees offer their time freely. Reasonable expenses-such as travel to meetings-will be reimbursed in accordance with Ronald McDonald House Charities UK's expenses policy.
20. The Trustee position is an appointment for a maximum of three three-year terms.
