Communications and Marketing Assistant – Volunteer
Filming for Humanity (FFH) produces impactful educational films and seeks a Marketing Intern to help share our stories on social media.
Role Description – Marketing Intern (Social Media)
Our mission is to use film as a tool for empathy, awareness, and change. We create movies across all genres to shed light on real human stories.
Responsibilities
* Draft engaging posts for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
* Create short‑form video snippets (behind‑the‑scenes clips, trailers, quote cards, crew highlights).
* Repurpose film footage into compelling social content.
* Write captions that communicate our mission and storytelling approach.
* Brainstorm new creative ideas such as podcasts and street interviews.
* Help plan and execute awareness campaigns for upcoming films.
* Support rollout of teaser materials, premieres, and special screenings.
* Schedule posts and assist with content calendars.
* Maintain consistency with FFH’s creative identity and visuals.
* Suggest fresh ideas for visual presentation and engagement strategies.
* Monitor social platforms and encourage positive conversations.
* Identify relevant accounts, hashtags, and communities to engage with.
* Support partnerships and cross‑promotion when necessary.
* Deliver a consistent social media presence across our main platforms.
* Produce campaign assets for upcoming film releases.
* Refresh and engage content style for FFH.
* Increase visibility and engagement around our movies and mission.

Qualifications

* Minimum of three years’ experience in campaign management, event coordination, social media management, or office administration is preferred.
* Shows commitment to humanitarian work and positive messaging.
Additional Details
The role is flexible and can be performed from home; however, the assistant is expected to be present on filming day on stage once a month (expenses paid).
The volunteer position may open to a full‑time role in the future and requires a minimum of ten hours per week.
