Location: Howden (East Riding of Yorkshire), Brackmills Business Park, Northampton or Raunds, Northamptonshire
Working Pattern: 4 days onsite, 1 day from home
What you’ll be doing
* Planning and delivering testing activities across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid deliveries to ensure systems meet quality standards and business outcomes
* Analysing requirements, designs and user stories to create risk‑based test approaches and identify quality risks early
* Designing, maintaining and executing test assets including test cases, exploratory testing and test data
* Executing functional, system, integration and exploratory testing and providing clear quality feedback
* Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure business readiness before release
* Managing defects through their lifecycle, ensuring clear prioritisation, traceability and reporting
* Working closely with delivery teams, business stakeholders and third‑party partners to promote shared ownership of quality
* Contributing to continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, automation and AI‑assisted testing approaches
* Supporting new, seconded or consultant test team members where required
What we need from you
* Proven experience working in a software testing role
* Strong understanding of the software development and test lifecycle
* Experience testing within Agile and Waterfall environments
* ISTQB / ISEB Foundation certification (or equivalent experience)
* Experience using ALM tools such as Azure DevOps or Micro Focus ALM
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and effective prioritisation
* Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with delivery and business teams
* A proactive, team‑first approach with pride in delivering quality outcomes
