Senior / Quantity Surveyor
Location: Manchester
Summary
A major tier 1 infrastructure and civil engineering contractor are looking for Senior Quantity Surveyor join their team working on the construction of a new carpark at Manchester Airport
The role will be responsible for taking the commercial lead on managing the costs on this £10M scheme and would suit somebody with experience within earthworks and drainage.

Duties
1. Oversee and manage project, ensuring adherence to programme schedules and budgets.
2. Lead the commercial management of NEC 4 contracts, including forecasting, cost reporting, and contract administration.
3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with client expectations.
4. Drive cost efficiency through value engineering and effective procurement strategies.
5. Ensure robust risk management and contractual compliance across all projects.
6. Mentor and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
7. Report on project performance and provide strategic commercial insights to senior leadership.
Person Specification
8. Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
9. Experience working with NEC 4 contracts option A
10. Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets particularly within sub-contractor delivery
11. Strong knowledge of cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
12. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
13. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field (RICS or CIOB accreditation is desirable).
Salary / Benefits
£55,000 - £65,000 dependant on experience plus 25 days holiday, pension scheme & car / allowance
