Are you passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives through social care?We’re looking for a compassionate, motivated, and reliable Support Worker to join our team at Watson Road, a supported living service for adults with enduring mental health needs. This is a maternity cover role until May 2026, offering a rewarding opportunity to support individuals in regaining the skills and confidence to live independently. This role is all about empowering individuals with mental health conditions and learning disabilities, to live independently, make informed choices, and enjoy fulfilling lives. We use a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to support each person’s journey. Whether you're experienced in social care or looking to start your journey in the sector, we offer the training and support to help you thrive. About the Service Located in Worksop, Watson Road is a large, family-style house with four fully furnished en-suite bedrooms, a communal lounge, kitchen, and garden. The service supports adults aged 18 with mental health diagnoses, helping them build life skills, manage tenancies, and move on to more independent living. Support is tailored to each individual, with a focus on empowerment, recovery, and wellbeing. This is a 24-hour service, operating 7 days a week. Shifts include: 7:00am – 2:30pm 2:30pm – 10:00pm 10:00pm – 7:00am (waking nights) Weekend availability is essential. Watson Road is located in Worksop town centre and access to a car or reliable transport is strongly recommended to ensure you can attend shifts on time. What You’ll Do As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in helping individuals grow and succeed. Your responsibilities will include: Providing face-to-face support tailored to each person’s needs Supporting service users with tenancy management and home care Promoting daily living skills, budgeting, and wellbeing Writing and reviewing risk assessments, following safeguarding procedures, legislation, and health & safety standards Building strong relationships with families, social workers, and other professionals Administering medication and coordinating shifts on a rota basis Maintaining accurate records using IT systems (basic IT skills required) Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who: Prefers shift work over a standard 9–5 schedule Is organised, proactive, and supportive Is resilient and creative in promoting positive change Understands the needs of vulnerable adults and complex behaviours Communicates effectively with professionals and agencies Shares our CLEAR values: Caring, Learning, Enthusiastic, Accountable, Resilient Why Work With Us?
